The Union Bank of California Tower is owned by Portland individuals who are committed to maintaining and expanding UBCT as a telecommunications center. Our recent investment in a study locating all conduit and fiber connections in the building as well as the construction of the Meet-Me-Room and Collocation Room are the result of that commitment.

Melvin Mark Brokerage Company a division of Melvin Mark Companies first established in 1945 to own and develop downtown properties, was formed in 1981 to assist other property owners manage and lease their downtown buildings.
Since 1981, Melvin Mark Brokerage Company has expanded its activities to include assisting other property owners in the disposition, sale, lease and occasionally redevelopment opportunities of office, industrial/flex, retail and mixed-use real estate in the greater Portland Metropolitan area. Members of the brokerage company are also active in Tenant representation and relocation.
Melvin Mark Brokerage Company currently oversees the management and leasing of approximately 2.5 million square feet of commercial projects throughout the Portland market. The property management element of the company utilizes state-of-the-art accounting systems and software for reporting purposes. The company also employs 10 managerial staff members supported by 20 building superintendents who handle daily on-site property activities.
An added feature to the real estate brokerage services is a division of Melvin Mark Companies, which provides tenant construction services. Melvin Mark Tenant Services is capable of designing and constructing tenant and other general improvements through the use of an in-house architect and general contracting license.

Dan Dittmer, RPA, FMA is the dedicated on-site Building Manager with ten years experience in managing UBCT telecom and technology installation and infrastructure requirements, space renovations and ongoing maintenance issues.
Phil Backman, RCDD is a 20 year veteran in telecommunications design, operations and installations. Phil supports the team with telecommunications expertise for interconnections, infrastructure design and represents the UBCT team concerning technical issues when working with the telecommunications carriers.
Jerry Lublink, Senior Electrician, Christianson Electric is on-site at UBCT to assist you in all electrical requirements, including AC and DC plant and back-up generation. Jerry has extensive experience within the UBCT property and provides quality and time-saving planning and installations.
