Portland Telecom Hotel The Union Bank of California Tower is Portland's original Telecommunications Hotel. It is located in the center of Portland's Fiber Optic hub. The Union Bank of California Tower is also across the street from AT&T Long Distance and the Qwest Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier's (ILEC) primary Central Office (CO) with tandem capabilities. UBCT was an original site on the first fiber optic cable carrier rings built in Portland's Central Business District.

About The Building The beautiful Union Bank of California building was dedicated in 1969 and became one of Portland’s major landmarks with it’s distinctive architecture and strategic location in the business and financial district. The fifteen-story office tower includes 145,150 square feet of office space and 50,000 square feet of retail space. The property’s exterior design incorporates over 600 white pre-cast concrete panels, solar glass windows and imported Elterwater slate. The lobby was completely renovated in 2003. The Union Bank of California Tower (UBCT) is situated at the center of the city's inner loop freeway system with immediate access to bridges, the airport and Portland's downtown transit mall.
